Meeting and rewarding outstanding collectives and individuals in the fields of culture, arts and sports of the People's Public Security
On the afternoon of February 17, 2025, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security Portal held a meeting to commend outstanding collectives and individuals in the fields of culture, arts and sports of People’s Police. General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Chairman of the People’s Public Security Sports Association attended and spoke at the meeting.
Attending the meeting were: Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Dang Hong Duc, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and representatives of leaders of functional units of the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, People’s Committees of Hanoi City, Quang Ninh Province; representatives of corporations and enterprises that have accompanied and supported activities in the fields of culture, arts and sports of the People’s Police….
In 2024, the People’s Police’s cultural, artistic and sports activities achieved many important, outstanding and more obvious results than in 2023 and previous years; actively contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern People’s Police force, enhancing the prestige and position of the Vietnamese People’s Police force in particular and Vietnam in general in the international arena.
Notably, with the position of an international-class art work, imbued with national identity, Ho Guom Theater has organized many programs serving the political tasks of the leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, and performing programs serving domestic and foreign audiences with many art forms. Including art programs gathering the world’s leading artists and orchestras, gradually becoming a cultural convergence address, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s cultural industry, enhancing the position of Hanoi, Vietnam and spreading the values and quintessence of Vietnamese and world culture.
Promoting the role of the People’s Police Sports Association, the 2024 Asian Police Taekwondo Open was successfully organized, contributing to promoting cooperation between security and police organizations of countries, affirming that Vietnam is an active and responsible member of the international community, always striving to increase contributions to maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world. Some sports clubs of the Association such as basketball, table tennis, baseball… operate professionally, achieving many good results in domestic competitions. The foreign affairs and international cooperation of People’s Police sports are effective, contributing to the overall success of the foreign affairs of the People’s Police force.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the above achievements were achieved under the regular and direct leadership of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security; the coordination and facilitation of departments, ministries, branches and localities; the wholehearted efforts of leaders, cadres, artists, coaches and athletes in the People’s Police, and the support, companionship and assistance of federations, associations, organizations and enterprises outside the People’s Police. Thereby, it has contributed to bringing the image of the People’s Police and its partner units closer to the public and fans, bringing meaningful spiritual values to the community in general and the People’s Police officers and soldiers in particular.
On behalf of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the achievements in the fields of culture, arts and sports of the People’s Police in the past year and the efforts of the collective leadership, cadres, artists, coaches, athletes, and the responsible participation of units under the Ministry of Public Security.
Sincerely thanking the ministries, branches, functional units, federations, national sports associations, organizations and enterprises that have accompanied and supported the Vietnam People’s Police Sports Association and Ho Guom Theater in the past time, Minister Luong Tam Quang hopes that the units and business partners will continue to pay attention, coordinate closely, effectively, in a long-term and sustainable manner in the cultural, artistic and sports activities of the People’s Police. In particular, in important cultural, artistic and sports events towards the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Police Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Security Day in 2025 such as: ASEAN Police Football Tournament; Finals of the 9th “For National Security” Sports Congress; preparing capacity documents to host the World Police and Firefighting Games in 2029…
The Minister believes that the People’s Police cultural, artistic and sports activities in 2025 will continue to reap many brilliant successes; making effective and clear contributions to the development of the People’s Police force as well as the development of culture, arts and sports of the country.
